Documentation
This project began with a family photo book—images preserved across time, but incomplete on their own. Through the addition of census records and personal letters, a fuller picture began to emerge.
Each source offered something different: photographs held presence, census data provided structure, and letters carried voice. Together, they moved the work beyond memory into documentation.
What began as fragments became a connected narrative—one that honors not only who was seen, but who was recorded, remembered, and lived.
